Trip #2 Cowboys, Indians, Princesses and Queens
After Bailey got sick in Vicksburg we headed south to Biloxi. At this time we still didn’t realize how sick he was and were still planning on enjoying the drive along the coast and into Orlando. After a bad night for Bailey in Panama City Beach, however, we packed up our bags and checked out of the hotel around 4 a.m. and headed to Orlando. We were in the vet’s office at about 2:00 Friday afternoon. Be sure to check out all of our blogs to find out what happened next.
Needless to say,
these pictures are about the only ones I got heading East between Biloxi and Orlando. Coming back we’d end up seeing much more of the Gulf Coast.
Besides being sick and making our first day in Orlando be one mad dash across town after another, Bailey had tripped over Kathy’s iPhone in the car and broken the charging pins. When we picked up Beth, Ken, Gracie and Jack the next day, the Apple store and a replacement was one of our first stops. Here’s Gracie playing on one of the Mac displays with her mom.
Saturday evening we all went to Disney’s Downtown Adventure and the kids got their first taste of vacation at the Disney Store. Jack wanted all the stuffed animals but ended up getting a Mickey toolbox
instead.
I’m only going to post a few pictures here of Disney World so as not to bore everybody. We had a great time, though, and managed to meet every Disney Princess there was. Some of them I’d never even heard of! Spending two weeks with our daughter and son-in-law and grandkids at Disney World is something we’ll never forget.
Big Thunder Mountain was a big hit with all the adults and Gracie... Jack was just a little too short.
“Why in the world am I having all these Princesses sign this book?”
I hope you all realize how considerate I’m being. Between the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Downtown Disney, Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios I took more than 900 photos. Don’t worry, though, just a couple more pictures of WDW and then we’ll move on to the rest of the trip.
Gracie and Jack both loved to see all the parades. Unfortunately, all of those people in the background
did too.
One of the unfortunate drawbacks
of anything that involves Disney is waiting.
Jack managed pretty well to put up with his sister and
all the other Princesses... but he did have his sword handy just in case.
