Our names are Bob and Kathy.  We love to travel.  Over the last 40 years we’ve taken a bunch of trips.  We’ve driven through Germany, France, Switzerland, Austria, and Italy.  On our first anniversary we drove from Seattle, Washington, to Acapulco, Mexico.  We’ve taken cruises from Venice to the Greek Isles, Rome to the Rock of Gibraltar and the white cliffs of Dover to the fiords of Norway.  We’ve been all through the Caribbean and cruised around New Zealand and Australia.  For a few years, when the kids were little, we’d alternate a driving trip every summer between Disneyland and Yellowstone Park.  It was a bear one year, a mouse the next.  And we’ve seen a lot of the rest of the United States too.  But not all.  That’s why we’re taking this journey.  We’re going to try to see all 50 states in one year.  The year we’re 60.  Most of it we’re going to try to do by car... but we’ll see how that works out as we go along.
